Itinerary

Today you will begin your customized itinerary. Please note that airfares have not been included in this package price. Please check with your travel adviser for current flight pricing.

Cross the International Date Line, an imaginary line on the surface of the Earth that runs from the North to the South Pole - and defines one calendar day from the next. Crossing the International Date Line adds one day (24 hours) traveling west, and subtracts one day (24 hours) traveling east.

Arrive in Auckland and pick-up your rental car before heading to your hotel.

Begin the day with a guided tour of Auckland, including a visit to Kelly Talton's Sealife Aquarium and Antarctic Encounter and enjoy an afternoon of leisure in the city.

Leave Auckland and travel south through the fertile Waikato region to arrive at Waitomo where you will enjoy a guided tour of the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves. After the cave tour, continue on through the Mamaku Ranges to reach your next destination of Rotorua.

Visit Te Puia Thermal Reserve to see boiling mudpools and roaring geysers. From there, head to the Rainbow Springs to see New Zealand's vibrant wildlife and to the Agrodome for a New Zealand farm show. Your afternoon will be spent at leisure and the evening will take you to an authentic Maori Hangi (feast) and show.

Travel south to the popular lakefront resort town of Taupo before continuing along the Desert Road, with the impressive background of the Ruapehu, Ngauruhoe and Tongariro mountain peaks before arriving in the capital city of Wellington.

Enjoy a morning sightseeing tour of Wellington and a short guided tour of Te Papa (the Museum of New Zealand) before enjoying a free afternoon to explore New Zealand's capital city at your leisure.

Journey across Cook Strait and into the Marlborough Sounds before traveling through the picturesque towns of Picton and Blenheim on your way to Kaikoura.

Leave Kaikoura behind as you turn inland and travel through North Canterbury to reach Christchurch.

Travel across the fertile Canterbury Plains to Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepherd before continuing on to New Zealand's highest mountain, Mt. Cook. Depart Mt. Cook and follow the shores of Lake Pukaki south through the historic central Otago region to Queenstown.

Spend the day exploring the magnificent Milford Sound and enjoy a cruise on the world-famous fjord before returning to Queenstown.

A day at leisure to enjoy the exciting city of Queenstown - a city known for thrilling activities such as bungy jumping, jetboating, gondola rides and much more.

Depart Queenstown and travel along Lake Wanaka and through the historic Haast Pass, the gateway to the World Heritage Westland National Park. Continue up the west coast past spectacular mountain ranges, native forests and lakes to the glacier region of Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers.

Spend a full day at leisure exploring this magnificent glacier region, including entry to the Glacier Hot Pools.

Today's drive will take you north through the town of Greymouth, through lush beech forests to Arthur's Pass and across the spectacular Southern Alps before returning to Christchurch.

End your New Zealand journey and head to the international airport for your flight home. Please note that airfares have not been included in this package price. Please check with your travel adviser for current flight pricing.
